What do the clarks shoes kids sizes mean? I was going to purchase a brand new pair of Clarks school shoes for my daughter from ebay as it works out cheaper than buying them direct from the shop but i am unsure as to what all the different size mean and was hoping someone could help. My daughter is a size 5 but there are shoes in a size 5E, 5F, 5G. What do the letters mean?

C=Very narrow,shoes aren't made in that size.
D=Still narrow but some shoes are made in that size.
E=Quite narrow but easy enough to find shoes for.
F=Average width,the best width to be.
G=Quite wide but able to buy shoes for.
H=Very wide,hard to buy shoes for.
Personly im a 5.5b so im actually off the scales and it's hell.

Mrs T replied: "It stands for the width of the foot. It is very important to get your daughters feet measured correctly. Ill fitting shoes now can damage her feet later on in life.
I know childrens shoes are expensive, believe me I know, I have 2 boys, but don't compromise and quality or by not getting them fitted correctly - you'll feel guilty later on. x"
BigMug replied: "the letters are the width, e is wide f wider g wider still. if your daughter has very slim feet the shoes wil be too wide but if she has what i call 'trainer feet' then the e will be fine adidas trainers are wide whereas nike are narrow so if she fits an adidas 5 then an e shoud be fine. a friend and i were rolling down a hill on them and we were going the same speed as the cars.. so.. about 20 mph. and we were flying so fast.. all of a sudden i hit a pebble and fall on my arm, i end up sliding about 5 - 10 ft on my arm.. didn't leave anything too serious.. just a scratch. and i was lying there for a good 5 min. to recover. but it was still fun.

like the blue converse, theyre very original. there are enough pink converse out there already. the only thing i would b very careful about on both pairs is the light colors. they may show dirt very easily, so b sure to keep them clean or they may look ratty. but other than that theyre both very original and very cute for everyday wear."
